These chocolate spiced fat balls are packed full of protein, low in sugar and full of our cacao goodness. If you’re looking for a snack to keep you energised throughout the day, make a batch of these and take one (or two) out of the fridge for when you need a pick me up!
These chocolate spiced fat balls are: - Vegan - Gluten-free - Low in sugar - Keto friendly - High in protein
250g (1 ½ cups) almonds
60ml (¼ cup) almond butter
70g (½ cup) CHOC CHICK cacao butter beans, melted (approx. 50 beans)
4 tbsp CHOC CHICK cacao powder
2 tbsp coconut flour
1 ½ tbsp xylitol (or other keto friendly sweetener)
2 tsp pumpkin spice
Pinch of sea salt
4 tbsp chopped nuts, for rolling
2 tbsp cinnamon, for rolling
Put the almonds, almonds butter, melted cacao butter, coconut flour, xylitol and pumpkin spice into a food processor, and process until a smooth dough forms.
Roll 20g of dough into a small ball and roll in the chopped nuts and dust with cinnamon (optional). Repeat this step with the rest of the dough.
Store the balls in an airtight container in the fridge, until ready to eat.
