Chocolate Frozen Margarita

Kick back and relax on a hot summer’s day with one of these chocolate frozen margaritas - our new favourite cocktail. A great way to get the party started with a yummy chocolatey twist!

This Chocolate Frozen Margarita is: Vegan, Gluten-Free & Nut-Free

Makes: 2

100ml tequila
50ml chocolate liqueur
4 tbsp dairy-free cream
120ml (½ cup) chocolate sauce, recipe below
A large handful of ice, crushed
A handful of CHOC Chick Quinoa Pops, crushed
2 tbsp melted raw chocolate, recipe here
1 tbsp CHOC Chick Cacao Nibbles, finely chopped
Chocolate Sauce
50g (½ cup) CHOC Chick Cacao Powder
100g (½ cup) coconut sugar
120ml (½ cup) water


To make the chocolate sauce, add all of the ingredients into a small pan and stir well. Bring to the boil, then reduce to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely before using.


To decorate the glasses, brush the melted chocolate around the rim of each glass. Dip in the crushed quinoa pops and set aside to harden.


For the margarita, whisk together all of the ingredients in a large jug. Add crushed ice to each of the glasses and pour the chocolate margarita over the top. Sprinkle with cacao nibs and serve right away.
