You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy this simple and delicious recipe for pancakes. They are perfect for any time of the day, any occasion and wonderfully free from gluten, dairy and eggs.
Takes: 30 minutes
2 tbsp CHOC Chick Raw Cacao Powder
2/3 cup buckwheat flour
1/3 cup tapioca flour
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 pinch salt
1 ripe banana mashed up
2-4 (6-12g) CHOC Chick Raw Cacao Butter Beans
FOR THE CHOCOLATE SAUCE2 tbsp CHOC Chick Raw Cacao Powder
2 tbsp maple syrup
a little water
Mix the flours, CHOC Chick Cacao powder and baking powder together in a bowl. Whisk in the almond milk and vanilla. Add the mashed up banana, a pinch of salt and mix well. You can also simply add all the ingredients into a blender and whizz up.
Leave to rest for 10-15 mins.
Heat up a non stick frying pan and add 2 CHOC Chick Cacao Butter Beans (enjoy watching them melt ❤)
Ladle in the pancake mix and fry in the melted cacao butter. Add another cacao bean if required (we only used 3 beans in total!)
FOR THE CHOCOLATE SAUCEMake a paste with the cacao powder and a little water (only a tiny amount). Add the maple syrup and stir well until you have a lovely chocolate sauce. Adjust the quantities for the desired consistency.
Enjoy warm, topped with fresh fruits and lots of raw cacao chocolate sauce ❤
