A wonderfully healthy treat that children absolutely love. These brownies are so easy to make, they don't need to be kept frozen and are a great lunch box addition, after school or work treat or for any time of the day. Vegan, dairy free and utterly divine!
Takes: 45 minutes
Makes: 8 brownies
100 g Pecan Nuts
8-10 Pitted Dates (soaked in warm water)
6 tbsp CHOC Chick Raw Cacao Powder
2 tsp Desiccated Coconut (optional)
2 tbsp CHOC Chick Sweet Freedom
Extra CHOC Chick Raw Cacao Powder, coconut, ground almonds or nuts to sprinkle on top
- Soak the pitted dates in warm water for around 5 minutes. Blend the pecan nuts, coconut and dates in a food processor (keep the warm water used to soften the dates and add a little bit to the mix to help blend and moisten).
- Add the raw cacao powder and the Sweet Freedom and blend well. Place mixture in a bowl and mix well (have a little taste it’s absolutely delish).
- Simply roll/spread out the entire mix on baking paper and cut into squares (try spreading some of our healthy chocolate spread over the brownies for a divine frosting). Chill the brownies in the fridge for half an hour to an hour and enjoy!
