Lea's Venezuelan Chocolate Fondue

This wonderful and easy to make fondue mix from Lea (CHOC Chick's Mum) can be used in a traditional fondue set or just to coat fruit in delicious and luxurious raw chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 120g / 4 oz raw cacao powder
  • 3 tbs agave syrup
  • 120g / 4 oz cocoa butter
  • Pinch of high quality sea salt (can use Fleur de Sel or Maldon salt)
  • Water

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together and melt gently over a low flame or a Bain Marie. Slowly add water to ensure the consistency of the sauce is not too thick.
  2. Dip your favourite fresh fruit. papaya, mango, pineapple, strawberries, kiwi, banana, apples or grapes - are all delicious!
  3. Remember, do not overheat or you will reduce the nutritional benefits of the raw chocolate
  4. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate to serve later as a gorgeous after dinner treat!

CHOCCreative Tip: Try dipping dried fruit pieces or ginger for a more exotic taste, or marshmallows if you are feeling extra indulgent!
